Course Format
Following the official Golden Standard of Vedic Meditation, our beginner meditation courses consist of four sessions, with an optional follow-up after a few weeks of practice. Your course will be accessible and easy to understand.
Session one
Off to a good start
Having received your individual mantra (meaningless sound), we will get you meditating straight away.
You will immediately experience the benefits: feeling rested, refreshed, and ready for whatever the day brings. It was easier than expected.
For this first session choose any time from early morning until evening according to your convenience and availability.
Session two
Refining the technique
Now that you've had your first experiences in Vedic Meditation, it's time to refine your technique.
Your teacher will offer more directions to make sure that you are on the right track and your practice is efficient, effortless and enjoyable.
Get clear and on-point answers to your questions and experiences.
Session three
Gaining an insider's perspective of the inner workings of meditation
Meditation is simple to do, but hard to grasp.
Your meditation teacher will instruct you in the mechanics of meditation: why it works so efficiently and how it makes sense. You will be able to fully understand it for yourself and explain your practice to others.
We equip you with a solid foundation of knowledge that allows you to be self-sufficient and move from beginner to advanced quickly.
Session Four
Solidifying your practice: building a long-lasting habit
We will conclude the course with a little sneak peek into the future: What to look forward to as a daily meditator.
Have a professional teacher guide, support and encourage you on that path with practical tips on how to always have time to meditate – no matter what's going on in your life, where you are or how quiet it is around you.
Benefit from free life-time support and weekly group meditations to keep you on track, even after the course has ended.
Do I have to chant or sit in strange yoga positions?
No. Vedic meditation is a very natural and simple technique – no yoga postures, special hand positions, accompanying sounds or scents are needed. Just make yourself comfortable in your favourite chair with your back supported and close your eyes.
I can't stop my thoughts. Will I still be able to meditate?
Especially people with very active minds are pleasantly surprised how naturally and easy-to-follow this style of meditation is. Anyone can learn it, no special talent or skill required.
Will I be able to meditate on my own?
Yes! After completing the training you will be able to meditate independently.
Nevertheless free, lifelong support is part of Vedic Mediation's success. So feel free to reconnect, if further down the line you are in search of guidance or inspiration.
What does it take to become a Vedic meditation teacher?
To graduate and work as a Vedic Meditation teacher, a candidate must complete a series of advanced knowledge courses over the period of two years, followed by three months of intensive, seclusive meditation practice and study in India. During this time the trainees engage in extensive meditation practice of up to 14h per day.
Is Vedic Meditation an organisation?
Vedic Meditation is not an organisation, but a network of of highly trained, yet independent teachers - each one brining their individuality to the table, whilst staying true and connected to the 5000yr old Vedic tradition.
